Claire Eccleston

Claire is an experienced midwife, mentor, and bodyworker with decades of practice across homebirth, intrapartum care, and midwifery mentoring. She is a Spinning Babies® Approved Trainer and has taught midwifery mentoring, suturing, and midwifery emergency skills internationally, working with midwives and birth workers across New Zealand, Europe, Mexico, Guatemala, and remote communities in Laos

Her work is grounded in both evidence-based practice and deep respect for the traditional craft of midwifery, with a strong emphasis on preserving birth skills, wisdom, and storytelling.

She is the founder of Womb Rhythms, an online school dedicated to training in the traditional art of BirthCraft, and the developer of Womb Craft™ bodywork, an integrative approach combining craniosacral therapy, postnatal scar remediation, and somatic sexology to support women across the childbearing continuum. She currently lives and practices in Aotearoa, New Zealand, continuing to teach and mentor midwives globally.
